First Look Ishqiya on a standstill
If the risqué trailer of the film wasn’t enough to pique your interest, Ishqiya had a special screening for a group of women, which left them in shock. 
The women from the focus group did not take well to the abusive language and sexual content in the movie. The film about two dacoits falling in love with a sensual widow had the women from the focus groups cringing in their seat. Producer Vishal Bharadwaj has not only produced, but also penned the dialogues of the movie. He has also been a guiding force for Chaubey throughout the shooting ofthe film.
A source present at the screening said, “The women were not happy at all; they felt that the content in the movie was too crass and crude. Along with the sexual overtones, even the violence was a little too much too handle for them. Abhishek does not want any backlash once the movie releases, and is taking the movie back on the editing table. Even the producers ofthe film Shemaroo asked for an immediate re-edit of the movie.”
When StarBoxOffice contacted Abhishek, he refused to comment on the issue, considering special screenings are always kept on a hush-hush level. The makers ofthe film are not planning on making any new trailers as of now, and will asses the entire situation at the editing table. Chaubey isn’t keen on getting an A certificate for the movie, and only time will tell how much Ishqiya will have to suffer in the bargain.
